5 Ways to Get Your Skin Summer Ready



The weather is getting hot and humid. It’s that time of the year when we want to wear short sleeves and go bare legs that mean we expose our skin the most in this summers. Therefore, it’s time to give some pampering and attention to your skin. Follow these simple tips to get your skin summer - ready.

(1). We all know drinking water benefit us in numerous ways. But it can do wonders to our skin as well. If you start drinking water regularly right now you skin will thank you for staying hydrated. I have been drinking water regularly for over a year now and I can notice the difference in my skin. You can start by keeping a water bottle or glass with you all the time, take this water bottle/glass with you wherever you go.

(2). Winters leaves your skin dry and dull. Exfoliation is needed to get rid of dry winter skin and to get a clear and glowing skin. You need to exfoliate frequently in summers because your skin in summers is oily and less sensitive, it’s easier for your skin to tolerate more consistent exfoliation.

(3). In summers most of you want to skip the moisturizing part as summer sun in combination with heat and humidity will cause havoc to the skin it makes you skin greasy and oily. But make sure to use a moisturizer as it provides the vital nourishment that your skin needs to have a glowing and moisturized skin.

(4). Sun rays cause suntan and to prevent yourself from tanning in summers you need to use SPF. Although it should be used through the year, Using sunscreen in summers is dermatologically recommended. Use a sunscreen that has a UVA and UVB products and has a broad spectrum. You should be using a sunscreen of SPF 30.Also, make sure you use an hour before going out of the home. In case you get tanned, you can also visit parlour to get a De-Tan bleach.

(5). When you clothes trap sweat and oil, your skin is unable to breathe. This happens mainly when you work out or sweat a lot. It can mix the oil with the dead skin and bacteria in your pores to form a pimple. You need to use a good body wash with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to kill the bacteria and unclog pores. Also you can wear cotton fabric in summers; it absorbs the sweat and prevent any formation of pimple.
