Is Getting Period Twice A Month Normal?

A Healthy woman’s menstrual cycle Last between three to seven days and happens after every 21 to 35 days. But some woman might experience periods twice or thrice in a month. Well, there are many reasons for this and you should definitely visit a doctor if this happens.

If you experience bleeding after or before your menstrual cycle or you think you had periods twice in a month then, the first check whether it is menstrual bleeding or normal spotting.

For adults, the average cycle lasts from 21 to 35 days and for teenagers, it lasts between 21 to 45 days. So girls with shorter cycles might experience period at the beginning and end of the menstrual cycle. Make sure to keep a track on your cycle so that you will be able to tell if it is normal or not. The reasons for the short menstrual cycle are as follow:-

The beginning of menopause
Birth control
Ovarian cyst
If fibroids, cysts, or early onset menopause prevails in the woman’s of your family then you are at a greater risk of having periods twice a month.
